About

Clayne Zollinger is a singer-songwriter who melds old-school folk and country music with modern songwriting sensibilities, drawing influences from classic songwriters like John Prine and Townes Van Zandt, as well as outlaws and mavericks such as Waylon Jennings and Gram Parsons. His lyrics are raw and honest, but also display an ironic, wry sense of humor. He has won over audiences in venues across the Northwest with his self-deprecating stage presence and larger-than-life voice.

He grew up in a small, rural town in the high desert of Southern Idaho where he became interested in music at a young age and honed his skills as a player and performer by spending nights playing bars and breweries while in college studying Creative Writing. After taking a pause on his music career to pursue an MFA in Poetry, he released his debut single, "The Hard Way," in late 2023, with several releases slated for 2026. In 2025, he performed on the main stage of both Yellow Pine, Idaho’s long-running Harmonica Festival, as well as the Valley Music Festival.
